Homemade Brown Sugar

When you run out of a very essential ingredient in your pantry not to worry you can always whip up this easy home made version of it ( Brown Sugar)

For Light Brown Sugar:

  • 1 cup granulated White sugar
  • 1.5 Tbsp Molasses

For Dark Brown Sugar:

  • 1 cup granulated White sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Molasses


  • Pour White Sugar into the bowl of food processor, Then Pour in the molasses.
  • Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  • Transfer into an airtight like a mason jar and store in a cool dry place. 


  • You need to use a food processor for this. A hand or Stand mixer won't work.
  • Molasses is also known as Black Treacle
