McCain® Veggie Taters™ with Beef Mince Tomato Sauce

Veggie taters are one of my favorite ways to sneak in veggies into my kiddos meals. These McCain®️ Veggie Taters™️ are so tasty you won't even notice the veggies tucked right inside the taters.

Beef mince Sauce

  • 1 6oz can tomato paste
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 1 lb ground beef (minced beef)
  • 2 Tbsp cookiing oil of choice
  • 1 teaspoon pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh Parsley

Veggie Taters

  • 2 boxes Your choice of McCain®️ Veggie Taters™️


Beef mince Sauce

  • Sauté onions in two Tbsp oil, add the ground beef and cook till no longer pink.
  • Add the spice mix and stir to combine.
  • Add the tomato paste let simmer then add 1 cup of water.
  • Cook for 4 mins till water reduces. Taste for seasoning and adjust accordingly.
  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley if using and serve.

Making the McCain®️ Veggie Taters™️

  • Preheat oven to 425•F
  • Spread frozen Taters on a single layer in a baking sheet
  • Bake for 8 mins then flip the Taters over and bake the other side for another 8 mins.
  • Turn off oven and bring out Taters. Leave Taters on the baking sheet for two more mins then serve.
