Our goal here at My Diaspora kitchen blog is to make our website accessible to everyone by meeting the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA).
Therefore, we are committed to this goal and are working continuously to improve the accessibility of our website for people with disabilities.
If for any reason, you find that we haven’t met any of the standard requirements at the time you visit our website, we ask that you give us the chance to make it right by sending us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with email subject ‘Accessibility issues’
Be rest assured we are working tirelessly within our capacity to make our website accessible, and therefore would be happy to hear from you.
Areas we are working on
We are aware that there are some areas on the website where we could improve accessibility. We have installed an accessibility widget which will help you while we work on improving any areas that might need attention.
The following areas are what we will be working on to ensure full compliance
- Our Photos: We will gradually update the alt-text for images in our blog posts. Being a recipe site, there are lots of them. Therefore If you have problems reading any photos while we work on this, kindly send us a quick email at email@example.com Please use the Email subject ‘Accessibility issues’
- Our Videos: We are working to update the captions for our videos.
- Link Text: We are also updating our link texts so that they become more visible and accessible.
It is our hope that this website will achieve “Level AA” conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 by December 2024
If you find any issue that needs our attention while using our website, feel free to reach out to us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please use Email subject: Accessibility Issues.
We would be more than happy to help in any way within our capacity. Thank you.
