Yes it’s the time of the year when we are planning to celebrate the commemoration of the birth of Christ Yayyy!!

Did I tell you Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year way back from when I was a child. There definitely something in the air around Christmas time. O yes the birth of Jesus ?

Well in Nigeria Christmas menu is is usually all about special recipes. Dishes like fried rice always make a show. Yes fried rice used to be a special delicacy. It is still is the only difference is that it’s eaten more Often during the year than it used to.

Another Nigerian Christmas time favorite was Nigerian Chin chin. But now can literally whip up a batch and munch away any time you want to.

In the United States, I noticed Christmas time is synonymous with loads of gifts and sweet treats like cookies and chocolates

This menu will be a mix of both cultures. Hope you give the recipes a try and that you find them helpful.

So what’s for breakfast?

Christmas morning is not the time to be stuck in the kitchen.

Oatmeal Porridge

The perfect breakfast Porridge. Want a Christmas twist? Try my cinnamon-Brown Sugar oatmeal porridge.

Pancakes

Don’t feel like Oatmeal? Pancakes are fast and easy. Want a savory pancake try these bacon pancakes.

Crescent Rolls

Want something to dunk in your hot chocolate? Try these fluffy crescent rolls! Making them ahead will help you on Christmas morning.

Puff puff

Have a little more time on your hands? Make some puff puff

Now how about Lunch?

• Pepper Soup:

Be it chicken pepper soup or goat meat pepper. Nigerian pepper soups are always a welcome starter.

• Jollof Rice

There is never a party or gathering without our good old Jollof Rice. You can bake it in the oven or make it on the stove top. Whichever method you choose. Jollof Rice is a winner!

• Coconut Fried Rice

Our delicious fried rice with a coconut twist, YUM!! You’ve got to give this a try. Bonus it’s made in the oven too!

• Barbecue Chicken drumsticks

These chicken drumsticks are to die for. TBH. These Chicken drumsticks are Glazed with barbecue sauce and ketchup and are super easy to make.

• Lemon Honey Chicken thighs

The crisp skin on these lemon honey chicken thighs ohhh myyyyy Yummm !!

Who doesn’t like dessert?

• Vanilla Ice cream

Now who says you can’t have ice cream? Oh yes you can. And this vanilla ice cream requires 3 ingredients only and no ice cream machine. So what are you waiting for?

• Chocolate Ice cream

Want Chocolate ice cream instead? Grab the recipe here.

• Neapolitan Ice cream

Want Neapolitan ice cream? Make vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream and strawberry ice cream and scoop all three in the same bowl ??

Something to munch on in between.

• Chin chin

If chin chin doesn’t show up here then I don’t know what else would. You really have to try some chin chin if you haven’t already. Get the recipe!

• Walkers Shortbread Cookies

Nothing sings Christmas to me than Walkers Shortbread cookies. Get my homemade version right here.

• Christmas Pinwheel Cookies.

Want to wow your guests? You have to make these Christmas Pinwheel Cookies. They look like you put in a lot of work but ? shhhhh no one needs to know you didn’t ?

Something to drink?

• Water. Good old water oh yes. Get hydrated people ?

• Nigerian Chapman
