Self rising flour may or may not be easily accessible to you depending on what part of the globe you reside. When I was back home in Nigeria it wasn’t always available because I remember searching for it for a recipe which I can’t remember. I eventually found it in a super market.

a Tbsp of baking powder, a 2 cup flour, a 1/2 tsp salt and a canister filled with homemade self rising flour

My guess is that baking with self rising flour wasn’t common in Nigerian cooking. So the availability was limited. Things maybe different now but just in Case it isn’t, don’t worry this homemade version is a great substitute for the commercial self rising flour. All you need are just some pantry staples.
